Joe Beef

You better come hungry. If you’re travelling to Montreal and you call yourself a foodie than you need to eat at Joe Beef. This type of experience can’t be duplicated as they are in its own class and should get their own rating system. They’re that good. The menu changes at least I found they were different every visit I had. And that was something we liked. Highly recommend them and the sister restaurant Liverpool House that we frequent and love. Make a reservation in advance. I saw Obama here!

I've been in here about 20 times and never had anything but an amazing meal. It's a dark setting that is very cozy and great for being social. I don't think they have a slow time, so usually a reservation is needed but it's worth the wait. The menu is larger than you'd expect. The wine list is also phenomenal and very well thought out to pair with their meals. The steaks are top 3 I've ever had. By far the best in Canada. It's not very big so it can get a bit noisy but it's perfect for a date night or with a group of 6.

This restaurant is really an amazing place to try and experience. Went with 4 people and had a reservation mid week. We decided to try what the restaurant recommended for the table and everything from start to finish was fantastic! I can’t say what was my favourite part of the meal as everything was equally delicious. We will definitely make it a tradition of coming every year to visit.

Amazing food and experience. Celebrated a friends birthday and tried a bunch of different things on the menu. My personal favorite being the blue cheese steak, it was out of this world. So much care and passion put into the meal, and the service was some of the best I've ever seen. Definitely lives up to its reputation and more!

You must eat here at least once in your lifetime. Sheer perfection. Incredible energies. The blue cheese steak changed my life forever. Share 4 mains with 4 people. I love you chef. Thanks for forcing us to dip the bread in the sauce.

Montreal is blessed with so many good restaurants but this is the one I always miss the most. Bold, inventive yet classic, flawlessly executed Always... with a team from the owners down that are passionate, eternally curious and haven't let their success change them. Wish they delivered :(

I follow Joe beef ever since I first saw them on Anthony Bourdain's shows. I kept trying to get reservations every year I visit Montreal and I finally got a reservation this time around. Worth every penny. I had the duck while my wife had the lobster spaghetti. Ambiance is great. Waiters and waitresses are very knowledgeable. Food is amazing. There's a reason Joe beef is top 2 in Canada and in the top 100 in all the world. Definitely a place to go.
